FAQs (frequently asked questions)

FAQ Some of the most common and a couple not so common questions from our call logs and email.

Q: How much medical cannabis can I order from SWOP?
A: We kindly request that our metro area patients limit their purchases to meet their needs for a two to four week period. Rural area patients are encouraged to place orders that will last one to two months. If you are not sure what your needs are, just ask. We are more then happy to work with you to help you determine your medical cannabis needs.

Q: How do I order medical cannabis from SWOP?
A: When we announce we are taking orders, you will be given a phone number dedicated exclusively to orders and delivery.

Q: What strains will you have?
A: Purple Urkle right away. Soon we will add White Widow, Chimayo Wildcraft, Mango, Train Wreck and New York Diesel. Not all strains will be available at the same time or in the same quantities. As we rotate our crops through the vegetative and flowering cycles we will keep you informed as to the up and coming strains and products as well as their projected delivery schedules.

Q: How am I supposed to know what strain is going to work best for my personal situation?
A: Just ask. We would be more then happy to make a suggestion for you.

Q: What does it cost?
A: $14.00 for grade "A" and $10.00 for grade "B" (plus NM GRT) including delivery within the Albuquerque and Santa Fe Metro Areas.

Q: What the heck is a Metro area?
A: We consider a 60-mile radius around Corrales to be the metro area. Deliveries outside this area are charged an additional delivery fee of 25¢ per mile, one way. Map Quest your location to our P.O. Box at SWOP POB 2946 Corrales, NM 87048. Subtract 60 miles from the total mileage and multiply the sum by 25¢. (If this sounds too much like work, just call us, or better yet send an email and we tell you how much delivery will be. No problem.)

Q: Will you deliver to all points in New Mexico?
A: Yes. SWOP will deliver anywhere in New Mexico. Until we can have producers approved in all parts of New Mexico, we will have to pull together and do the best we can for the patients and the program. That being said, we are working with New Mexicann Natural Medicine to combine efforts in the areas outside the Albuquerque and Santa Fe metro areas.

Q: Can I get seeds from you?
A: No. Not at this time. Check back real soon!

Q: Can I get Clones or seedlings from you?
A: Yes and No. Our strict adhesion to the 95-plant limit minimizes our ability to offer seedlings. Clones, are another thing all together. We are compiling a list of qualified patients who wish to receive clones - see the article in the next Newsletter called: SWOP Clone Exchange Program.

Q: Will you offer edibles or canna-butters and oils?
A: Yes! SWOP has made arrangements with a local, State approved and licensed, commercial kitchen to allow us to produce our baked goods. Currently we are predicting June to be the first month we will offer edibles. Watch your SWOP Newsletters for future updates.

Q: What edibles are you planning to offer and how much is it going to cost?
A: Our initial offerings will consist of Single and double strength brownies as well as rice crispy treats. Pricing will be based on the cost of the baked goods and the amount of medication per serving. Watch future Newsletters for further clarifications and descriptions.

Q: Why is taking so long? I have worked so long and hard to get my medical cannabis license and now what?
A: We hear and feel your frustration! As patients we often find ourselves hovering over the plants and wishing they would hurry up grow already! The reality is this: Currently there is far more demand then available medication. No matter how big or how fast we can produce our 95 plants, we and our four other sister producers can only produce so much. Until we have more licensed producers throughout the state, we all will have to work together. Patients, producers and activists will all have to work together to make sure basic needs are met and the program as a whole is grown into the program we can all be proud of.

Q: What can I do to help?
A: Become involved! Write the DOH, Dr. Vigil, the Governor, your Senator or Congressman. Tell them what the medical cannabis program means to you and that we need more producers now.
